DOHA: The State of Qatar has signed an agreement to formally participate in the national pavilion at the 2025 Osaka Kansai International Expo, which is scheduled to take place from 13 April to 13 October 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
The participation agreement was signed by Nasser Mohammed Al-Muhannadi, Chairman and Deputy Commissioner of the Preparatory Committee for Qatar’s Participation in the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo.
From the Japanese side, the contract was signed by the Executive Director of the 2025 Osaka-Kansai International Expo Association in the presence of Mr. Abdulbasit Al Azhi, Vice-Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Qatar Pavilion. of the officers of the organizing committee of the exposition.
The Preparatory Committee for Qatar’s Participation in the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025, composed of representatives from several national authorities, began its activities once the decision was made to establish it. The Committee shall deal with the preparation of the equipment necessary for the country’s participation in the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo. We also undertake the design of outstanding and first-class pavilions.
To these ends, the Commission holds regular meetings to ensure Qatar’s outstanding and commendable participation. The 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo will focus on his three sub-themes: saving lives, empowering lives, and sustaining lives, under the theme of “Designing Future Society to Connect Lives”.
About 150 countries and 25 international organizations will participate, and the expected number of visitors is about 82 million, of which 3.5 million will be from abroad.
Expo activities and events are aligned with the 2030 Agenda, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which aim to achieve a diverse, inclusive and sustainable society.
For Qatar, participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai is an opportunity to strengthen trade, industrial and investment cooperation with various participating countries.
