According to NASA data, supermoons occur only 3-4 times a year, and at the closest point, supermoons appear to be about 17% larger and 30% brighter than the darkest moons of the year.
“NASA said it would give people the opportunity to find craters and mountains on the moon with a good telescope … the sky was good and the moon was very visible, so I was excited to see the moon. I’ve been shooting the moon since 2012.
Some members of Stargazing Singapore, a public Facebook group, also shared photos of celestial events taken around 7:30 pm. Facebook user Carmen Chin witnessed a strawberry supermoon at East Coast Park.
