Bermuda Football Association [BFA] Reese Jones Jr. and Rasil Smith Jones have announced that they have signed a contract with England’s semi-professional football club Hartley Wintney FC.

A spokeswoman said, “Bermuda Football Association [BFA] National team players Reese Jones Jr. and Rasil Smith Jones are proud to sign Hartley Wintney FC at the Clyde Best Center of Excellence. Hartley Wintney FC is a semi-professional football club based in Hartley Wintney, England and is currently a member of the Southern League Premier Division South. “

Ross Weatherstone, General Manager of the British Academy of International Development [IDA] Hartley Wintney FC’s first team manager is on the island, letting the club sign players.

“Reece and Rahzir participated in the Academy program last season,” Weatherstone said. “Both are worth the opportunity and I’m excited to see what they can achieve. We’re trying to pave the way for future athletes.”

The BFA also met with BFA President Mark Wade and SMNT coach Kyle Lightbourne, adding that “IDA is currently monitoring 10 Bermuda players at the Academy, so we will monitor other players.”
