Rob Linder has been announced as the new co-presenter of Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby, joining fine chef and original presenter Monica Galetti.

The television personality and criminal barrister will take over from journalist and presenter Giles Coren, who has been presenting the BBC Two program with Garetti, 47, since its inception in 2017.

“Fortunately, Monica is by my side to keep me under control.”

“I can’t wait to see Rob go wild when he rolls up his sleeves to work with a dedicated hotel staff.”

Amazing Hotels’ new series will begin filming this month and will be released on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer next year.

Adeline Ramage Rooney, executive producer of the show, said: “Rob is thrilled to embark on this new series of Amazing Hotels alongside Monica.

“An outsider in the hospitality industry and a big fan of the finer things in life, Rob brings a genuine surprise and a fresh new perspective to one of our most popular series.

In the show, the presenters take a hands-on approach at each of the gorgeous locations, working side by side with the hotel staff to explore the day-to-day operations of the hotel behind the scenes.

In previous series, the hosts have visited luxury hotspots around the world, from Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort in Abu Dhabi to The Lanesborough in London to The Brand on the island of French Polynesia.

Rinder rose to fame as the formidable Rinder Judge on his eponymous ITV reality courtroom show and later hosted the Channel 4 series The Rob Rinder Verdict.

In 2016, Rinder competed in the 14th series of Strictly Come Dancing with Ukrainian professional dancer Oksana Platero, placing fifth.

Rinder has also presented Good Morning Britain multiple times and appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox with regular GMB presenter Susannah Reed.
