Event organizers officially announced the format, competing teams and schedule for the 2022 Rugby Americas North [RAN] A tournament for women in their 12s and men under the age of 19 scheduled for July 14-17 in Kingston, Jamaica.
The four-day event at the University of the West Indies will be held for the first time since 2019 in Bridgetown, Barbados, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For the 18th consecutive year, the men’s tournament under the age of 19 will also include six teams from Mexico, the South Panthers of the United States, Trinidad and Tobago, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and Jamaica. The tournament will include match days on the 14th and 15th, and the team will play two 40-minute games. After Saturday’s break, in Sunday’s final, six teams will play one half-thirty-fifty match.
Bermuda will be drawn into Pool A alongside Mexico and the Cayman Islands to play in Mexico and the Cayman Islands on Thursday, July 14th.
