Riyadh: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia has the honor of cleaning the Holy Kaaba on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), many crown princes, Ulema officials, provincial governors, government officials and home guardians also took part in the tradition.
In a video shared by SPA on Twitter, the crown prince was seen holding a cloth and cleaning the interior walls. The maintenance of the Holy Kaaba is an important and delicate ritual, and the cleaning is traditional.
The method of cleaning the walls and floors of the Kaaba is different. Clean the interior walls with a white cloth impregnated with rose and musk, and wash the floor with a mixture of zamzam water and rose perfume. Sprinkle this mixture onto the cleaned floor with your bare hands and palm leaves. – agency
