Singapore-Several roads and lanes will be closed on Saturday (June 25) for a joint rehearsal for the 2022 National Day Parade, police said on Tuesday (June 21).
The rehearsal will take place at The Float @ Marina Bay.
During the closure period, only authorized vehicles, police and emergency vehicles will be granted access.
Singapore Armed Forces Reserve Police Officers and Marshal are stationed at the affected junctions to assist and direct drivers.
Drivers are advised to plan their routes early, as traffic may be delayed in the Marina Bay area.
Public members traveling in this area are strongly encouraged to use public transport.
The following roads and lanes will be closed from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm.
-The leftmost lane of the Republic Avenue driveway in the direction of Republic Boulevard (between streetlight pillar 23 and Republic Boulevard)
-Republic Boulevard Roadway in the direction of Raffles Avenue (between Streetlight Pillar 5 and Republic Avenue, and between Republic Avenue and Raffles Avenue)
-Two right lanes of Raffles Boulevard (between streetlight pillar 20F and Raffles Avenue)
-Raffles Avenue driveway towards Stanford Road (between Republic Boulevard and Bayfront Avenue)
-Two right lanes in the direction of Bayfront Avenue on the Temasec Avenue driveway (between streetlight pillar 5 and Bayfront Avenue)
-Temasek Avenue driveway in the direction of Temasek Boulevard (between Raffles Avenue and Raffles Boulevard)
-Bayfront Avenue (between Streetlight Pillar 35F and Raffles Avenue)
-Slip road from Bayfront Avenue to Raffles Avenue
In addition, the three left lanes of Raffles Avenue towards Stanford Road (between Bayfront Avenue and Streetlight Pillar 19F) will be closed from 7:30 am to 10 am and from 5:50 pm to 8 pm.
The two left lanes on Raffles Avenue towards Stanford Road (between Bayfront Avenue and Streetlight Pillar 19F) will also be closed from 10 am to 5:50 pm and from 8 pm to 10:30 pm.
Police said parking restrictions along the affected roads would be strictly enforced and vehicles that illegally parked or caused obstacles would be towed.
