A late goal from Andy Lyons gave Shamrock Rovers a win over Ferencvaros at Tallaght Stadium.

The Hungarian side traveled to Dublin after a 4-0 win over home side Budapest in last week’s first leg of the Europa League play-offs.

Having bounced back from last Thursday’s crushing defeat, Stephen Bradley’s side held up well to put pressure on the away side, and the Lions finally broke through in the 89th minute.

The result means Ferencvarros won a 4-1 draw on aggregate and qualified for the group stage of the competition.

Meanwhile, the Hoops will face the group stage of the conference league, which will be drawn on Friday.
