Six people were taken to hospital after an accident at the intersection of Keppel Road and Cantonment Ring on Saturday (10 September) evening.

One of them, a 50-year-old male ComfortDelGro taxi driver, suffered leg and chest injuries.

Police and the Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to a taxi collision with another vehicle at around 8:15 pm.

Another driver, a 55-year-old man, and four taxi passengers were also taken to Singapore General Hospital, police and the SCDF said. Everyone was conscious.

ComfortDelGro Group’s corporate communications officer, Tammy Tan, said the taxi was going straight ahead following the green light at the intersection when another vehicle turning right at the same intersection collided with the taxi and ran over the curb, causing traffic to crash. is said to have collided with light.

Cabbie was protected. The passenger suffered minor injuries, but the pedestrian was not injured, Tan said.
