A woman in her thirties was charged with attempted murder after attacking a woman of the same age in Trondheim on New Year’s Eve with a knife.

The stabbed woman was seriously injured and taken to St. Olav Hospital. Another woman was arrested shortly thereafter and charged with attempted murder, the newspaper Adresseavisen reports.

The case will be dealt with in the Tr√łndelag District Court on 21 June.

The woman taken to the hospital suffered four shoulder and back injuries. Her lungs were punctured.

There were some children in the apartment when the puncture wound occurred. The two women belong to the same family.

Frode Wisth, a lawyer defending the accused’s woman, does not want to comment on the criminal case before the trial begins.
