Infectious diseases in the United Arab Emirates more than doubled in a week, with 1,319 infectious diseases reported on Monday.
Hospitalizations are on the rise, but details have not been disclosed, according to the National Crisis and Emergency Management Agency.

Under the new rules, the government’s health app “Green Pass” system is valid for 14 days starting Wednesday. The app, which uses a color-coded system to show the status of vaccinations and PCR tests, is currently valid for 30 days. ..
Due to this change, residents may need to take tests more often. A Green Pass is required to access government buildings across the country and indoor spaces in the capital Abu Dhabi.
The government also urged residents to comply with their indoor mask obligations. According to the authorities, the rule will be enforced more strictly and fines of up to 3,000 dirhams ($ 816.77) will be imposed for violations.
