All Macau citizens are being asked by health authorities to perform their own new round of Covid Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) today (25 June) and tomorrow (26 June).

“Except for people in designated areas who need to collect samples at the laboratory, residents need to stay home, interrupt non-essential activities, reduce social mobility and reduce the risk of mutual pollution.” The statement said the new Coronavirus Response and Coordination Center, issued earlier this afternoon.

Health officials add that if someone gives a positive result on a rapid antigen test, that person and other family members must stay at home and wait for the authorities to perform the health test.

This is because the number of cases of COVID-19 continues to increase.

The latest update provided by health authorities at a press conference at 5 pm shows 170 confirmed cases.

This is the second RAT following Wednesday (June 22nd).

Rapid antigen test is a rapid diagnostic test suitable for point-of-care tests that directly detect the presence or absence of antigens. In addition to the three kits distributed at the first city-wide Mass Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) drive from Sunday to Tuesday, the second community-wide NAT program yesterday and today (Friday) further. – Workers at SanKin Yip Shopping Center in Avenidada Amizade

This applies if you have stayed in the above locations for more than 30 minutes after June 18th.
