The Bermuda Monetary Authority has issued a “Public Warning on Renfrew Capital Management”.

A spokeswoman said: “Renfrew operates a website at, which appears to offer investment services from Bermuda and Ireland. Renfrew is to legally provide the services listed on that website. Has not been issued a license from the authorities as required by the authorities.

“Authorities have discovered that the content of web pages is copied directly from regulated financial service providers. This is not common on legitimate websites.

“On June 28, 2022, the Central Bank of Ireland issued a public warning regarding Renfrew Capital Management and the use of cloned websites that are no longer functioning.

“Doing business with an unregulated entity increases the risk to potential investors. Those who do business with this entity are at their own risk.

“The authorities also remind the public that it is illegal to conduct an investment business without a license under Article 12 of the Investment Business Act 2003.”
