Amsterdam police on Wednesday arrested a suspect who stabbed a woman in a busy street near the Albert Cuyp market in Pipe.

Witnesses said she collapsed in front of the restaurant door and was rescued by bystanders and remained conscious until an ambulance arrived. They told Dutch media they also saw a slightly older man with a knife. An hour after the incident, bloody tea towels were reportedly still visible in the street.
