An elderly woman selling crochet creations at the Toa Payoh MRT station burst into tears after a stranger bought a $6 bottle holder from her.
The woman, who is often seen sitting on the floor of Exit D of the station crocheting and selling her work, said she had been struggling with little sales over the past few days.
Jaya Dutta, who meets the woman on her way to work every day, said she found her job “amazingly diverse” and decided to support her with a small purchase on August 12. rice field.
